A passionate fashion designer dedicated to creating beautiful, sustainable designs that make a positive impact on our world.
Hi, I'm Michelle Patzi Figueroa, a fashion designer from Hamburg with a passion for creating beautiful, sustainable fashion that doesn't compromise on style or environmental responsibility.
My journey began at HAW-Hamburg, where I pursued my Bachelor's degree in Design with a focus on sustainable practices. This education culminated in an award-winning project that showcased innovative approaches to circular fashion design.
Today, I lead the ReUniqlo program at Hamburg's flagship Uniqlo store, where I transform discarded garments into contemporary fashion pieces. This role allows me to combine my creative skills with my commitment to reducing textile waste and promoting sustainable consumption.
My work is driven by the belief that fashion can be a force for positive change. Through upcycling, innovative design, and community engagement, I strive to prove that sustainability and style are not mutually exclusive.
Years of education and hands-on experience have developed a comprehensive skill set in sustainable fashion design.
The principles that guide every design decision and project I undertake.
Every design decision is made with environmental impact in mind, prioritizing circular economy principles.
Finding creative solutions within sustainable boundaries often leads to the most innovative designs.
Fashion should bring people together and create positive change in local communities.
Every piece created serves a purpose beyond aesthetics, addressing real-world problems.
A timeline of key milestones in my design education and career.
